Prairie Style by Frank Lloyd Wright
Prairie Style by Frank Lloyd Wright
Building the Wright Way
While we were in Chicago we took a train to Qak Park where we visited the home and studio of the American Architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright lived and worked in Oak Park for over 20 years. It is where in the early 1900s he developed his Uniquely American Prairie style of architecture. The neighborhood in and around his home contains many examples of his work such as the one in the photo above. Most of the homes have been lovingly restored and maintained by their owners, a tribute to the enduring qualities of Wright’s work.
