Ken stayed in the Midwest after our visit to Chicago to attend a family reunion.  It was the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Voss family farm by Ken’s Great Grandfather.  Ken’s Grandmother, Enora (Voss) VanBree was raised in the house shown in the background along with her sixteen brothers and sisters.  During the reunion he and his Aunt Ei and Cousin Peggy (shown above) visited the archives at Calvin College where they saw letters that Great Great Grandpa VanBree wrote to friends in the Netherlands who he had left behind when he immigrated to Michigan in the 1850s.
